Come visit the Asheville Blade at LAAFF!

by David Forbes August 31, 2014

Readers and supporters, come visit the Asheville Blade’s booth at the Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival. We’ll have prizes, sign up subscribers and show our thanks for your support.

Blessedly for those Ashevillians that like great local events, the Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival (LAAFF, natch) is back this year. Thanks to help from some very generous supporters, we’ve wrangled canopy tents, got an official-looking sign, rounded up mason jars (of journalism) to hold raffle tickets and now have a booth at the festival, in the big parking lot at the end of Lexington.

Come say hi! We always love to hear from our readers and supporters. We’ll have a raffle for some great prizes in our Jars of Journalism (subscribers get free tickets) and ways to show our thanks to supporters new and old. If you’ve thought about signing up as a subscriber, now’s the time.

Special thanks to the Rankin Vault, the Southern and Short Street Cakes for providing our awesome raffle prizes, and to all our supporters. In just a few months we’ve already made some incredible strides. Y’all make that possible, and that — a long with the spirit of the great city we live in – is a cause for celebration.

Best,

David Forbes, Editor
