A hard-fought primary narrowed<\/a> the field of Asheville City Council candidates from 15 to six (and a write-in candidate also launched a campaign for office). Below, the\u00a0Blade<\/em> has in-depth interviews with every candidate, their answers to our questions \u00a0as well as their latest financial report in case you wonder where they’re getting their cash.<\/p>\n

Three Council seats are up in this year’s election. Early voting<\/a> lasts until 1 p.m. tomorrow and Ashevillians can also vote at their polling place on Nov. 3 (you can find where that is here<\/a>). This election has raised many issues concerning what kind of city this will become for the people that live and work here, from affordable housing and de facto segregation to public space and power struggles both within and outside Asheville. You’ve got a vote and hopefully the information below will help you decide how to use it.<\/p>\n
