This Thursday was Transgender Day of Remembrance, with an annual vigil and march to memorialize those who have died due to transphobia. About 100 people gathered outside the Civic Center and marched to Vance Monument, where attendees and activists spoke about the lives lost and the discrimination trans and gender non-conforming individuals still face. The event was jointly organized by local groups Tranzmission, Just Us For All and the Campaign for Southern Equality. Local photographer Ezra Campbell sends in these images of the vigil.
